Since 2015, Dr. Ken Randall has been a leader in dental care in the Greater Chattanooga, Tennessee area. The practice has grown and changed as new dental advancements have been made, including many of the digital workflows that are now at the forefront of how dentistry is practiced today. Dr. Julian joined the practice in 2024 to continue the tradition of evidence-based dental care that Dr. Randall has established. Learn more about our doctors below!
GENERAL DENTIST
Meet Dr. Ken Randall
Dr. Randall is an award-winning third-generation dentist who has served the Chattanooga area for nearly a decade. He earned his undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill, his dental degree from the University of Kentucky, and completed a hospital dentistry residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
Dr. Randall is an adjunct faculty member at UAB Hospital and UAB School of Dentistry. Locally, he is a member of the Head & Neck Cancer Center at CHI Memorial Hospital and maintains hospital privileges at Erlanger Baroness and Children's Hospitals. He is affiliated with numerous dental organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Actively involved in his community, he promotes oral health literacy in the Tennessee Valley and is an active participant in both local and national dental organizations.
A 3rd Generation Dentist & Lifelong Learner
For Dr. Ken Randall, becoming a dentist was a natural choice. After all, dentistry runs in his family – his grandfather, two uncles and an aunt are all dentists. He is proud to be a third-generation dentist and the fifth dentist in his family. He is married to a dentist, Elizabeth Felts Randall, who is also a 3rd generation dentist.

Meet Dr. Joe Julian
Dr. Julian joined Tennessee River Dental in July 2024 and brings back a new wealth of knowledge from his time at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis. Dr. Julian is passionate about doing the best work for his patients backed by the latest scientific literature and in collaboration with specialists around Chattanooga.
When Dr. Julian isn’t thinking about dentistry, he enjoys playing the piano, participating in community service activities, playing tennis or pickleball, and spending time with his fiancé Shelby and their sweet dog, Mango. Dr. Julian is excited to be back home near his family and friends and begin his dental career at Tennessee River Dental! He is committed to furthering his knowledge through continued education and providing his patients with confident and compassionate care.
Bringing a New Perspective to his Hometown
A native of Hixson, Dr. Joe Julian is thrilled to return and serve the community where he grew up. He attended Big Ridge Elementary, Hixson Middle, and Baylor School prior to moving away for college and dental school. His inspiration to pursue dentistry stemmed from his Uncle Dr. Robin Smith, who retired recently from his Riverview practice after 37 years.
